by Charlotte on 12 MarchVery impressed with the service - ease of ordering, short lead time on delivery and also the arrangement of a Saturday delivery slot. The style/design of the sofa is great and the colour of the fabric is as expected. The back cushions have already got creases in them which I suppose is to be expected somewhat with a linen fabric but it somewhat detracts from the very strong, clean design. I am also a little disappointed with the comfort of the sofa - I think the fact it is a sofabed means that you compromise some comfort thought. However overall I am pleased with my purchase and would use sofa.com again

Dear Charlotte, thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are delighted that you are so happy with the style of your new sofa-bed and with the service you have received from us. With a pure linen fabric, creases will occur from time to time. This is an inherent feature of the fabric, similar to a linen shirt or pair of trousers. The creases do inevitably fall out after a short period of time. This process can be speeded up with a very light steaming, perhaps from a steam iron if you have one (although clearly do not make contact with the fabric as this would scorch it). Alternatively, as the Stella has fully removable covers, you can even hang the cushion covers in the bathroom and run a hot shower. Strange this may seem, but it will further speed up the process. Because the sofa-bed sleeping mechanism is stored under the seat unit, it is normal for the seats to feel slightly firmer than they would with a regular sofa. This is unavoidable I’m afraid, but with regular use the seat cushion pads should settle down quite nicely and become more comfortable quite quickly. We are so pleased that you are happy with your sofa-bed overall and wish you all the very best! -

Velvets are very luxurious but relatively sensitive, so we recommend the utmost care when looking after these fabrics. A characteristic of velvet is the distinct pile that produces the amazing sparkle visible on these fabrics. With time, this pile will show signs of use particularly on the silky velvet producing a ‘crushed’ effect which is very usual for velvet and part of its natural beauty. Velvet is sensitive to liquids so to avoid unduly disturbing the pile we strongly advise against using any liquid to clean this fabric, however tempting this may be (this includes damp cloths etc). Dear EJ, We sincerely hope that you are enjoying your new sofa and we would like to thank you very much for your feedback, it really does help us develop and grow as a company. We are very sorry that our drivers have let us down here somewhat. They were clearly running well ahead of their delivery schedule and so tried to get your sofa to as soon as possible. Clearly, you were still not quite ready to receive the delivery hence they went away, and when they returned, the only reason that they will have waited outside your house is to avoid going too far afield which would have caused problems with the remainder of the delivery run and may have ended up impacting further on your delivery. It is very difficult to put together large delivery runs as there are a number of variables such as the traffic that we have no control over and, on this occasion, it just looks like free-flowing traffic was the undoing of us. We are extremely sorry about this, but very much hope you are enjoying your new sofa and that this little incident has not soured your experience with us too much! -

Dear Patrick, From your ratings, it seems like you are mostly happy with your sofa and the service you received in getting it. We are sorry, however, that you don’t appear to be completely content with the Broad Weave fabric. This is somewhat surprising as it is not something we have come across before with this particular fabric. As the Broad Weave Undyed has a very high linen content, this could be the reason for the creasing, however, we have never heard of this fabric being wrinkly before, so please do not hesitate to get in touch with us with a couple of photos of the areas of concern, and we will take whatever action is necessary to get this resolved for you. -

As a sofa it's not as soft as I would want it to be, but I guess it's a sacrifice I have to accept in order to get the sofa bed, so overall I'm happy with that. The fabric is of high quality too. My feet love it when I crawl on the sofa. It feels great! On the delivery side, we had some very narrow space on the entrance (we live in a flat) but the delivery guys got it in all right so happy about that too!
