by Katherine on 29 MarchWe had a lovely time in the showroom choosing our furniture and the service was great. The sofa, armchairs and footstool were delivered on time. The only thing i was disappointed with was the fact that if I had chosen to have my footstool covered in an alternative fabric, i would have to pay full price, ie the cost of the footstool covered in Sofa.com fabric and then pay for the other fabric on top of this cost. This seems like a way to mark up heavily and lead to me using Sofa.com fabric which wasn't my first choice. I gave the comfiness a 4 instead of a 5 because frankly I prefer all feather but I'm happy not to have to plump up the cushions anymore!

Our number one aim is to ensure that we provide the highest possible level of servcie to our customers at all times, so we're glad we didn't let you down! Regarding the custom fabric charges, we charge more than our cheapest fabric because when the customer chooses alternative material we use a much more experienced set of upholsterers who are very highly skilled. It is also a lot more work for them because they have to cut out the patterns and things, whereas with our fabrics that is all done already! Basically it costs more because it is more work. Obviously sofa.com is more expensive but worth every penny. Love the new chairs and will be back if I need to buy another sofa. Still waiting after nearly 4 months for made.com to collect their unwanted chairs of appalling quality!

And the bed, although a bold choice in coral, is a hit. With the studs we feel a bit rock and roll! Looks great with white walls and wood floor so we are pleased we were a bit daring!
